Glendale

The town of Glendale was established in 1887 and incorporated in 1906. Over the years it grew to its present size of more than 30 square miles, 70,000 households and 200,000 residents.

Glendale lies at the eastern edge of San Gabriel Valley and is less than ten miles from downtown Los Angeles. Glendale is bordered to the northwest by the Sun Valley and Tujunga neighborhoods of Los Angeles; to the northeast by La Canada-Flintridge and La Crescenta; to the west by Burbank and Griffith Park; to the east by Eagle Rock and Pasadena; to the south by Atwater Village and Glassell Park neighborhoods of Los Angeles.

Glendale’s housing stock spans the gamut from the 19th to the 21st centuries.
